Disposable ECMO Centrifugal Pump Head
The centrifugal pump moves blood through the circuit. The Lifemotion disposable ECMO centrifugal pump head (model LM-PH-1000, ARTG 528772) is designed around a compact, low-priming-volume chamber and a haemocompatible blood path.
Magnetically driven, single-point pivot
A magnetically driven centrifugal impeller sits on a single-point pivot, generating controlled radial propulsion of the blood. The design keeps the moving blood path simple and contactless where it matters.
Low priming volume
The chamber is compact, with a low 17 mL priming volume — reducing the blood-contact footprint and simplifying setup, which is particularly useful in transport and rapid-deployment scenarios.
Published flow performance
The pump head is specified for a flow rate up to 7.0 L/min and a drive speed up to 6,500 rpm. Full performance and priming figures are provided in the manufacturer's published specifications and instructions for use.
Consistent haemocompatible surfaces
Blood-contacting surfaces carry the same phosphorylcholine coating used across the oxygenator and ECMO sets, for a consistent blood-contact surface through the whole circuit — part of a platform designed to work together as a coordinated, continuously-connected ECMO circuit.
